Arsenal have officially announced the signing of England international defender Konsa.

Arsenal Football Club has officially announced the signing of England international defender Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa on a long-term contract.

The 28-year-old Konsa is capable of playing as a center-back and right-back. In an interview after signing the contract, he clearly expressed his excitement about joining the team and his extreme desire to win the championship.

“I’m very excited. It’s an honor to be here, and I can’t wait to get started,” Konsa said in his first interview after joining the team. “I want to keep winning. I’m hungry for victory, and that’s why I came here. It’s a proud moment for me and my family to play for one of the best teams in the world.”

Konsa previously played for Aston Villa for seven seasons, making over 200 appearances in all competitions, and helped the team win the Europa League title last season. Speaking about joining defending champions Arsenal, he stated bluntly that he has no intention of stopping: "I came here to win."

“Winning the Europa League last season gave me a taste of success, and now I want to win every competition. I am very grateful to Aston Villa for everything they have done for me. I came here as a boy and left as a man.”

Regarding Arsenal's defensive system that achieved 19 clean sheets in the Premier League last season, Konsa said: "I really like the way they defend as a team. They are all willing to help each other and love to keep the goal intact. What this team has built up over the past few years is very special."

Speaking about his tactical role, Konsa emphasized: "I like to organize and advance from the back and control possession, which aligns with coach Arteta's tactical style. Whether I play right-back or center-back, whatever position the coach assigns me, I will do my best to fulfill my duties."
