Nulu returns to Shopify as Rebellion's mid-lane coach.

North American esports club Shopify Rebellion recently announced that former professional player Nulu (formerly known as Selfie) has officially returned to the team as a mid-lane coach.

This marks Nulu's second stint coaching at Shopify Rebellion since 2024. He previously led Cloud9 to the 2023 LCS Spring Championship, and this move also reunites him with Shopify Rebellion's new General Manager, David Han.

During the Spring Split of 2026, Shopify Rebellion's overall performance fell short of expectations, with the highly anticipated new Korean mid-laner Zinie ranking in the middle of the league in all key statistics.

In an effort to qualify for the 2026 World Championship, Shopify Rebellion made rapid adjustments during the off-season, bringing in General Manager David Han, bringing back support player Zeyzal, and hiring Nulu to provide specialized guidance for the mid lane.

These changes have yielded significant results. Entering the Summer Split, mid-laner Zinie's performance has rebounded dramatically, delivering a dominant showing. General Manager David stated that Nulu and Zinie have established excellent communication and synergy, providing crucial support for the player's growth.

Currently, Shopify Rebellion is ranked second in the standings. The team will compete in the LCS Mexico City tournament on August 29th and 30th, aiming to challenge for the top spot in the league.
