Getafe have announced the signing of Francho Serrano, with a contract running until 2029.

Getafe have officially announced that they have reached an agreement with Real Zaragoza for the transfer of Francho Serrano, with the 24-year-old Spanish player officially joining the team. The two sides have signed a long-term contract valid until June 30, 2029, and Francho Serrano will become an important option in Getafe's midfield for the new season.  

Francho Serrano, 24, was born on October 17, 2001, in Zaragoza. Standing at 180 cm tall, he is a right-footed midfielder who primarily plays in the central attacking midfield position. He has been nurtured at Real Zaragoza since his youth academy days, progressing step by step from the youth academy to the first team.  

During his time at Real Zaragoza, Francho Serrano gradually accumulated extensive first-team experience, making over 160 appearances and becoming a key member of the team's midfield. He also represented Spain at various youth levels, including twice for the Spanish U21 national team.  

In the 2022/23 season, Francho Serrano made 37 appearances for Real Zaragoza in all competitions, 36 of which were in the Segunda División. Entering the 2023/24 season, he continued to receive consistent playing time, making 23 appearances and accumulating over 1700 minutes of playing time.  

Francho Serrano's arrival at Getafe will be a significant addition to the team's midfield. With his extensive experience in the Segunda División and his excellent passing, ball control, and playmaking abilities, the young midfielder is expected to further strengthen Getafe's midfield and provide the team with more tactical options.
