Official: Nottingham Forest extends Neco Williams' contract until June 2030.

Nottingham Forest announced on Friday that they have extended the contract of Welsh fullback Neco Williams. The new contract extends his original term, which expires in 2029, by one year, until June 30, 2030.

With this contract extension, Nottingham Forest successfully dispelled rumors that Williams might leave the club. Williams had previously been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Everton.

The 25-year-old Williams came through Liverpool's youth academy and made his professional debut for the first team in the English League Cup on October 30, 2019. He then made only 33 appearances for the Reds before being loaned out to Fulham for development.

In July 2022, Williams joined Nottingham Forest from Liverpool for £17 million. To date, he has made 163 appearances for Nottingham Forest, contributing 4 goals and 10 assists.

At the national team level, Williams has made 57 appearances for Wales to date. Since making his national team debut in September 2020, he has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists, and participated in the 2021 European Championship and the 2022 World Cup.
