Lucas Stassin admitted that he is looking forward to taking on new challenges in Seville and believes it will be a special experience.

Lucas Stasín recently gave an interview to Sevilla FC's official media, sharing his feelings since joining the team. The Belgian striker is excited about starting this new phase of his career, saying he is very much looking forward to taking on new challenges in Spain.  

Lucas Stasín said: "I am very happy to be here and I am looking forward to the experience. Coming to Spain means a completely new experience for me, and I am even more excited to start this journey at such a prestigious club. With a huge fan base and constant attention from the outside world, it will undoubtedly be a very special experience."  

“My main position is center forward. As a striker, I certainly hope to score goals and help the team break through the opponent's goal. However, I am not just a player who waits for opportunities. I am also willing to participate in the team's attacking organization, cooperate with my teammates, and use my movement to create space and opportunities for the team. As for scoring goals or assists, they are not the most important thing to me. The most important thing is that the team can win the game and let everyone enjoy the joy of football.”  

"In the teams I've played for before, I've played as a lone striker, and I've also had the experience of partnering with another striker, so I'm quite familiar with both formations. If I had to choose, I would prefer to take on the role of the striker alone, with the players on the wings responsible for creating width and delivering crosses. Of course, if the team needs me to partner with another striker, I'm also open to that arrangement."  

“Before coming here, I knew that Seville was a club with a glorious history. Its performance in European competitions and the team’s past achievements have given it a high profile. After actually arriving here, I am even more convinced of this. There are not only very passionate fans, but also a charming city, and the friendliness of the locals makes me feel very comfortable.”  

“I hope to rediscover my form from my time in the French top league and deliver a satisfactory performance in the new season. On a personal level, I will do my best to help the team improve their ranking and strive to return to the top six in the league, thereby qualifying for European competitions. Of course, I also hope to enjoy the game, contribute more goals and victories to the team, and rediscover the joy on the field.”  

"This football philosophy has always attracted me. I like teams that control the tempo of the game through footwork, relying more on passing and possession to create attacking opportunities, rather than depending too much on physical contact or long-distance passes. This characteristic of the Spanish league has always been something I admire. I have expressed many times in the past that I hope to have the opportunity to play here in the future. Considering my current age and stage of development, the football environment here is quite different from the top league in England. I think the Spanish style of play suits my characteristics better. Therefore, I am very much looking forward to experiencing the football here firsthand and seeing how much progress I can make."  

When discussing his understanding of Sevilla's recent performance, Lucas Stasin stated that because the transfers were completed in the final stages before the transfer window closed, he didn't have enough time to conduct a comprehensive study of the team. He said, "I mainly get to know the team through match highlights. Because the transfers were finalized at the last minute, I didn't have the opportunity to watch and analyze all the previous matches in detail. However, I did watch some match footage and also paid attention to the team's performance at the beginning of the season, including the first three rounds."  

“They all told me that the atmosphere here is very special. Whenever the match starts and the live music plays, the whole stadium takes on a completely different feel. Especially the Seville derby against Betis, the atmosphere is unforgettable. I believe this will be a very valuable experience, and I look forward to experiencing such a match environment firsthand as soon as possible. Of course, it would be even more perfect if we could win such a derby.”
