Mano Solomon admitted he was delighted to score his first goal and help the team secure an important victory.

West Ham United secured a resounding victory at London Stadium, unleashing a barrage of six goals against Wrexham United. Six different players scored, while the defense kept a clean sheet, securing all three points and temporarily topping the Championship table after this round.  

Of the six goalscorers in this match, Mano Solomon, who joined West Ham United from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, finally scored his first home goal. With eight minutes remaining, he received the ball on the right side of the penalty area and unleashed a brilliant left-footed shot that struck the inside of the right post and bounced into the net, making the score 6-0.  

After the match, Mano Solomon said, "I'm really excited right now. This victory means a lot to the team. We not only scored 6 goals, but also kept a clean sheet and extended our winning streak to 4 games. More importantly, all of this was done in front of our home fans. It feels amazing, and hopefully we can continue this momentum."  

“I’ve been looking forward to this moment ever since I joined the team. Scoring in front of the home fans at the London Stadium is something I’ve always longed to achieve. So when I finally scored here, the feeling was indescribable. The team was already leading 5-0, and of course I wanted to be part of this goal-fest and add another goal for myself! But ultimately, helping the team win the game is the most important thing. This is my first goal since I came here, but I hope this is just the beginning and that I can score many more goals for the team in the future.”  

West Ham United have already scored 20 goals in their first seven Championship matches, bringing their total to 27 goals in nine games across all competitions this season. However, Mano Solomon believes the team's current attacking prowess may only be the beginning. One of the nine new signings this summer, the winger stated that his understanding with his teammates is deepening, and he believes the team still has the opportunity to improve further as the season progresses.  

Mano Solomon continued, “We can certainly say this was one of our best performances of the season, but the most important thing now is to stay calm and humble. We hope to continue moving forward and improve on what we have built so far, and I believe the team still has a lot of room for improvement. Seeing the score of 6-0, many people might think it was an easy game, but in reality, the process was far more complicated than the score suggests. To achieve such a result, we must always maintain sufficient positivity.”  

“We needed to maintain high-intensity pressure throughout the game, and I think the whole team executed that very well for 90 minutes. It was this tactical performance that allowed us to create scoring opportunities. In addition, our handling of the penalty area was calm and decisive enough, so everyone is very satisfied with this game. Hopefully, we can continue this form.”  

“I feel that the team is gradually building better and better chemistry. Whether on the field or in our daily interactions, our connection is becoming closer. There are quite a few new players in the squad, including myself, so everyone needs time to get to know each other. We are getting to know each other step by step, and I hope to continue this good momentum and continue to improve in the upcoming games.”
