Bosnian international Dedicć joins Newcastle United to play in the Premier League.

Newcastle United Football Club has officially announced the signing of 24-year-old Bosnian international full-back Amar Dedić from Portuguese giants Benfica.

The two sides have reached a five-year long-term contract agreement, and Dedic will wear the number 37 jersey in the new season, becoming Newcastle United's sixth first-team reinforcement this summer.

After completing the signing, Dedic couldn't hide his excitement. In an interview, he said, "Joining Newcastle United is a huge honor, and I can't wait to play for the club and the passionate home fans."

Dedic emphasized that reuniting with current Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle was a key factor in his decision: "We know each other very well, and he knows what I can bring to the pitch."

Dedic trained at Red Bull Salzburg's youth academy and began his professional career there, making his mark while coaching Jäussler at Livermore. After returning to Salzburg's first team, he made 95 appearances, demonstrating exceptional tactical awareness.

Subsequently, Dedic gained extensive experience at top European clubs such as Marseille in Ligue 1 and Benfica in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. On the international stage, at only 24 years old, he has already made 31 appearances for the Bosnian national team, and played the full 90 minutes in all three matches of this summer's World Cup as a key player.

As a modern all-around full-back possessing explosiveness, aggression, and exquisite footwork, Dedic is capable of playing on both wings and has strong attacking and defensive capabilities. His arrival will directly strengthen the team's defensive depth, and this Bosnian winger will officially begin his Premier League journey.
