Yaka Björl believes the new signings will improve Leeds United's overall strength.

The third round of the 2026/27 Premier League season will feature another crucial match, with Daniel Falk leading Leeds United to an away game against Brighton. Yaka Bijol stated that the team must deliver their best performance against Brighton and believes that the addition of new signings will improve the team's overall strength.

In the last league match, Leeds United came from behind to draw 1-1 with Brentford after Nmecha assisted Calvert-Lewin to score.

Reflecting on the previous match against Brentford, Leeds United defender Yaka Bijol said, "It was a tough game for us. They were in very good form before the game started, and we knew that if we wanted to get a result from that game, we had to play our best."

“I think we encountered some difficulties from the beginning of the competition, but we always kept ourselves in the competition and eventually got the result we wanted.”

Brighton's side, led by Schürrle, suffered a 3-4 defeat to Chelsea in their last league match. In their previous encounters last season, Leeds United had a record of one win and one loss against Brighton, including a 0-3 away defeat.

Yaka Björl said, "Brighton played exceptionally well last season, and we had a tough match there, so we must be at our best again and in top form when facing them. Like I said, we must be at our best to compete with them and get the result we want."
