Pablo Felipe admitted he was delighted to score his first goal for West Ham United, but was disappointed the team ultimately failed to win.

Pablo Felipe scored his first goal for West Ham United in the third round of the English League Cup, but the team ultimately lost 2-3 at home to Fulham and failed to advance to the next round, leaving him with mixed feelings after the match. The 22-year-old finally scored in his 22nd appearance for West Ham United, netting his first goal since joining the club.  

After the match, Pablo Felipe said: "I am very happy to score my first goal while wearing a West Ham United shirt. I have always hoped to contribute to the team and score my first goal as soon as possible, but it is a pity that we were unable to achieve the result that everyone expected."  

“When Jarrod Bowen delivered the cross, I actually had a very good scoring opportunity, but unfortunately I couldn’t reach the ball. Of course we are disappointed with this result because the team created many good chances throughout the game.”  

Prior to this League Cup match, Pablo Felipe had helped West Ham United achieve a four-game winning streak in the Championship, so he believed the team was approaching the game with full confidence. Against Fulham from the Premier League, West Ham United demonstrated considerable competitiveness for a significant period and successfully withstood their opponent's test.  

He continued, "We have great strength and have always tried to control the game at our own pace. Unfortunately, some details ultimately determined the outcome. However, we will not lose confidence because of this loss. We must continue to work hard and fight with all our might to deliver a better performance in the next game and fight for victory."  

West Ham United will quickly move on to their next match on Saturday, facing Millwall away in a highly anticipated London derby at Dandenong Stadium. Pablo Felipe, who joined West Ham in January, is well aware of what this game means for West Ham fans and hopes to help his team secure three valuable points to further solidify their top spot in the league.  

Pablo Felipe added: "I am well aware of the very intense rivalry between West Ham and Millwall, so we will put all our energy into training and preparation in the coming days. We know this is a very important game, so we will do our best to go to the away game, put on a great performance, and strive for the victory that everyone expects. That is our goal going forward."
