Manchester City have officially announced the signing of Brazilian starlet Allan for a transfer fee of up to €40 million.

Manchester City announced in a statement on Monday that Brazilian starlet Allan Elias has officially joined the club from Palmeiras. The two sides signed a five-year contract, valid until June 30, 2031.

According to a previous report by TA's chief reporter David Ornstein, Allan's transfer fee was €37.5 million plus €2.5 million in add-ons. It is widely believed that his arrival will fill the void left by Savinho's move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Regarding the signing, Manchester City's sporting director Hugo Viana explained: "Allan is an exciting player, and we believe he will be an important addition to the team."

"He has demonstrated the spirit of constantly striving to be the best in his short career so far. Coming to Manchester and taking on the challenge of becoming a Manchester City player is yet another example of that spirit."

“We have been following his development in Brazil and have seen a player who can perform well in crucial moments, has an excellent professional attitude, and is willing to contribute to the team.”

“Everyone is very happy that he has joined us and looks forward to him growing with Manchester City.”

The 22-year-old Alan primarily plays as a right winger, but can also play in midfield, as a second striker, and as a right-back. He developed through Palmeiras' youth academy and made his first-team debut in the São Paulo State League on January 16, 2025.

To date, Allan has made 96 appearances for Palmeiras, scoring 9 goals and providing 12 assists. His most notable highlight was undoubtedly winning the São Paulo State Championship as a key player for the team this year.

After completing the transfer, Alan could not hide his joy and excitement: "For me, this is an incredible moment."

“Manchester City has won countless honors over the past 15 years and is one of the most attractive clubs in the world for players. Being able to sit here today and announce that I have joined Manchester City is the proudest moment of my life.”

“I will always love Palmeiras, but the decision to join Manchester City was very easy for me. I want to be the best player, and my interactions with Manchester City so far have convinced me that this is the best place for me to achieve my ambitions.”

"I want to make a promise to Manchester City fans: I will do my best to seize this opportunity to join Manchester City."

"The real challenge has just begun. I will give 100% in training and prove to the coach that I deserve playing time with my best performance."

“My goal is to help Manchester City continue to win trophies. If I can do that, it will be a dream come true for me.”
