Al-Nasr completes contract extension with former Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojević..

Al-Nasr announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has extended the contract of its captain, former Crystal Palace skipper and Serbian defensive midfielder, Luka Milivojević.

According to Al-Nasr's official statement, Milivojević has signed on a new short-term one-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.

About Luka Milivojević

The 35-year-old Milivojević was born on April 7, 1991, in Kragujevac, Serbia. He is 1.83 meters tall and plays as a defensive midfielder.

Milivojević began his youth career at his hometown club, Radnički Kragujevac, before moving to the youth academy of Rad Belgrade in 2008, where he would complete his Rad Belgrade first-team debut by coming on as a substitute that August.

In January 2011, Milivojević moved to Red Star Belgrade for a fee of €500,000.

During his one-and-a-half-year stint with Red Star, he won the Serbian Cup once.

In July 2013, Milivojević joined Anderlecht for €3 million. During his time there, he achieved a domestic double, winning both the Jupiler Pro League title and the Belgian Super Cup.

On the following summer transfer window deadline day, Milivojević joined Olympiakos on loan. The club later triggered his €2.3 million buyout clause to sign him permanently.

During his two-and-a-half year spell at Olympiakos, he won the Greek Super League twice and the Greek Cup once.

On the 2017 winter transfer window deadline day, Milivojević joined Crystal Palace for €16 million. 

During his six-and-a-half-year tenure at the Premier League club, Milivojević not only served as captain but also gained a reputation for frequently converting penalties in crucial matches.

After leaving upon the expiration of his contract in the summer of 2023, Milivojević joined Shabab Al-Ahli on a free transfer.

During his two-year spell with Shabab Al-Ahli, he helped the team achieve a historic treble, winning the UAE Pro League, the UAE President's Cup, and the UAE Super Cup.

In the summer of 2025, Milivojević moved to Al-Nasr as a free agent.

Since joining Al-Nasr, he has so far made 27 appearances across all competitions for the UAE Pro League powerhouse, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
