Adam Armstrong: There are no easy matches here; you need to play your best in every game.

Adam Armstrong knew that as long as he continued to run and fight hard in the attacking third, the goal would eventually come. The striker displayed selflessness in the recent Black Country derby against West Bromwich Albion. Although the most crucial chance of the match was ultimately seized by Phil Lopez, who scored to help Wolves secure the derby victory, Adam Armstrong consistently ran and participated in the challenges, contributing significantly to the team's win.  

Adam Armstrong has now scored 92 goals in the Championship. After scoring against Preston North End last month, the striker believes his goal tally will continue to rise, as Wolves have a strong enough squad to consistently create scoring opportunities for him.  

Speaking about his approach to the game, Adam Armstrong said, "I always emphasize this to my teammates: I have to keep running actively in the attacking third. If I stop running, it means my chances of getting opportunities decrease. I understood this when I was younger, and I have to keep at it, and we created a lot of chances on Sunday. If I don't work hard, the team's attack will be affected because the attacking players have to take the lead and set an example for their teammates."  

“We still need to get to know each other’s playing style and teamwork better, which will take some time. After all, everything is still in the adjustment phase, and many new pairings have emerged on the field. I have to accurately judge when to drop back to support the team and when to stay in the attacking third so as to create more space for my teammates to run.”  

“We knew exactly what kind of game this was going to be. The derby itself is very important, so we knew the fans would give us extra support during the game, and I think they performed exceptionally well from start to finish. Most importantly, we ultimately won, and I think my teammates played very well both on and off the ball, and kept creating chances. In a different situation, we might have been able to finish the game 3-0 or 4-0, so I am really proud of all my teammates.”  

“We knew we played very well, so we just needed to continue with our game plan. We created a lot of chances, and we also have to acknowledge the performance of the opposing goalkeeper. We never gave up throughout the game, maintained a high press, and made the right decisions at the right time, while Lopez showed his best abilities.”
