Hamburg officially triggered Arsenal midfieler Fabio Vieira's buy-out clause..

Hamburg announced on their official website on Tuesday that they have officially triggered the buy-out clause of Arsenal's Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira.

According to Hamburg's official statement, Vieira has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.

After completing his transfer procedures, Vieira, who was interviewed by the Hamburg official website again, said: "I'm very happy to be back here. I know the club, the fans, and many of my teammates very well, so it feels great to be a part of it again."

"From the beginning, I knew there might be an opportunity to come back. I could feel how much Hamburg wanted me back. Now that I'm back, I can't wait to get started."

About Fabio Vieira

The 26-year-old Vieira was born on May 30, 2000, in Santa Maria da Feira. He is 1.73 meters tall and primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, but can also play as a right winger.

Vieira joined Porto's youth academy at the age of eight, started playing for its B team in 2019 and completed his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute the following February.

During his two years with the Dragões, Vieira helped the team win the Portuguese Primeira Liga title twice and the Taça de Portugal once.

In the summer of 2022, Vieira joined Arsenal for €35 million.

During his time with the Gunners, Vieira had gradually established himself in the first team, even winning the English Community Shield with the reigning Premier League champions. However, since suffering a serious injury in August 2023, his position in the team has been superseded.

In August 2024, Vieira returned to Porto on-loan. During his time there, he helped the team reach the semi-finals of the Taça da Liga.

In the summer of 2025, Vieira joined Hamburg on-loan with an option to buy.

Last season, Vieira made 31 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 6 assists.
