Samuel Ritchie officially joins Como on loan.

Como 1907 welcomes a new signing. The club has officially confirmed that Italian midfielder Samuel Ricci will leave AC Milan on loan. The agreement covers the entire 2026/27 season and includes an option, giving Como the flexibility to decide whether to proceed with the deal.  

Samuel Ricci's professional development began at Empoli. Born in 2001, he entered the club's youth academy at a young age, gradually transitioning from the youth team to the senior team, and making his Serie B debut in 2019.  

After accumulating over 90 first-team appearances at Empoli, Samuel Ricci moved to Torino in January 2022. Initially on loan, he joined Torino on a permanent transfer. After three and a half seasons with the club, Ricci left in July 2025 to join AC Milan.  

Samuel Ricci, now 25, has over 200 professional appearances and has represented Italy on numerous occasions. He excels at orchestrating attacks and controlling the tempo of the game in midfield, and is known for his consistent style of play and excellent technical ability. Upon joining Como, he will become a key midfield option under Cesc Fabregas.  

Como manager Cesc Fàbregas welcomed the arrival of Samuel Ricci, believing the Italian midfielder's technical characteristics are a perfect fit for the team's system. He stated, "We know Samuel Ricci very well; he has a high level of skill in technique, game reading, and ball control."  

“I believe his abilities can fit well into our football philosophy and provide important help to the team. We are very happy to sign him and we look forward to working with him.”  

Samuel Ritchie expressed his excitement after joining Como, saying, "I'm very happy to be here. After contacting the club, I quickly felt the positive atmosphere, and I really appreciate their development plans. I'm looking forward to playing alongside my teammates under Cesc Fabregas and starting a new phase of my career."
