Nexus official statement: French coach SBT has been relegated to the bench.

European CS2 team Nexus announced on Thursday that they have relegated in-game leader Sebastian Sabadin (ID: SBT) to the bench. His replacement remains undecided.

SBT, 24, is from France and has played for several CS teams throughout his professional career, including APOLOGIS, Ambusht, The Dice, The Prodigies, Arcadia, Lausanne, ADEPTS, Caldya, ghoulsW, and MINLATE. Since joining Nexus in May of this year, he has played a total of 28 maps and participated in 578 rounds across various tournaments, with an average rating of only 0.92.

Regarding this change, Nexus stated in a post on the X platform: "Today, we say goodbye to SBT. Role conflicts prevented us from reaching our full potential, so both sides agreed that starting over was the best option. He possesses the talent, dedication, and experience that any team dreams of. Currently, his contract does not include an immediate buyout clause."

SBT later responded via his personal social media: "Starting today, I've been relegated to the bench. Thank you Nexus for the opportunity, but unfortunately, I wasn't up to the task. I can now explore other options, and I welcome invitations from other teams to serve as in-game leader or rifler. I remain highly motivated and eager to play. I will continue streaming and practicing hard on Faceit. Feel free to contact me privately."

With SBT relegated to the bench, Nexus' current roster is tentatively set as follows:
