Manager Mourinho returns to the Bernabéu and praises the team's performance

In their opening match of the new La Liga season, Real Madrid secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad at home. Following the game, Real Madrid manager José Mourinho attended the press conference, highlighting the team's comeback win against Real Sociedad.

Speaking about the match, Mourinho said, "The first half was difficult for us; our pressing lacked cohesion. We made some adjustments at halftime and then scored four goals in the second half. Against a team with players like Kylian and Zud, they faced significant difficulties in the second half."

Regarding his return to the Bernabéu as manager, Mourinho stated frankly: "I was very calm in my first game at the Bernabéu, and I was no longer nervous. I'm not keen on hearing people chant my name; the team is the most important thing, and feeling the support of the fans is what I care about most."

When praising Mbappe's outstanding contributions, Mourinho said: "This guy is really incredible. He has already set a World Cup goal record, but I see that he still wants to make history at Real Madrid."

“Kilian showed an extremely high level of play when the team’s attacking organization was thwarted. He was not just a finisher; when he dropped back to initiate the attack and combined with Zud, he was already posing a direct threat to the goal.”

Finally, Mourinho emphasized that the victory stemmed from teamwork, and the team will immediately begin training after the match to prepare for Sunday's game against Malaga.
