Jorge Jesus is confident in his team and plans to field a more attacking lineup for the match.

Jorge Jesus gave an interview and discussed Portugal's away match against Norway in the second round of the UEFA Nations League Group A4. The Portuguese coach stated in the pre-match press conference that if he had the choice, he would prefer to face Norway later in the tournament. However, he clearly pointed out that Portugal's goal in Oslo is very clear: to defeat this attacking team.  

When discussing the characteristics of the Norwegian team, Jorge Jesus said: "They are one of the strongest teams in Europe. We are all familiar with Haaland and Odegaard in our squad; they have shown a very high level of performance in England. This team will pose a greater challenge to our defense, and I hope the team can cope with it. We will continue training today."  

“Compared to the last game, we didn’t have much time to make major adjustments. What really helped us improve was the last game itself. However, I believe the team can respond defensively, and I also hope that we can show better individual creativity on the offensive end.”  

"Haaland is probably one of the best center forwards in the world right now. He is not only technically outstanding, but also physically very strong. He can even score with his head in the penalty area without jumping much. Of course, we also have our own advantages, and we are full of confidence in the team's own abilities."  

When asked about the limited preparation time, Jorge Jesus said, "It is indeed a tough challenge for me because they are excellent in both overall strength and individual player ability, as demonstrated in the World Cup. They have one of the strongest attacking combinations in Europe, with Haaland and Odegaard being outstanding players. In addition, there are some familiar players from the Portuguese league in the team."  

"They have their own strengths and are very strong. But so do we. I am confident in the team's performance tomorrow. I will not be afraid of Norway and will field a team that focuses more on attack than defense."  

“When I need to make adjustments in a short period of time, I usually don’t easily change the defense unless there is an injury, and I think I will do the same tomorrow. As for João Neves, he had some injuries when he returned from Paris Saint-Germain. I spoke with him and arranged for him to have an MRI. I told him then that I would let him play against Norway, so he will be on the field tomorrow.”
