South Korean esports aims for a second consecutive Asian Games title in League of Legends.

With the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games just around the corner, the South Korean esports delegation has confirmed that it will compete in nine esports events.

In the League of Legends tournament, the South Korean team, led by Lee Sang-hyeok (Faker), will once again make a run for the gold medal. With the absence of the Chinese team and the host team Japan, South Korea has become the favorite to win the championship.

The Korea eSports Association (KeSPA) previously announced its main roster of six players for the competition:

Top Lane: Zeus (Choi Woo-jae/HLE)

Jungler: Canyon (Kim Gun-woo/GEN)

Mid Laners: Faker (Lee Sang-hyeok/T1), Zeka (Kim Gun-woo/HLE)

Bottom Lane: Gumayusi (Lee Min-hyung/ HLE)

• Support: Keria (Liu Minxi/ T1)

The team is led by head coach Kang Dong-hoon. This is Faker's third consecutive appearance at the Asian Games, Zeus and Keria's second appearances, and the other three are first-time participants. Chovy withdrew from the selection due to treatment for a recurring hip injury, and Ruler, Viper, and others were also not selected.

This year's League of Legends tournament features eight teams, with qualification spots determined through a combination of direct entry and offline qualifiers. The overall esports competition runs from September 23rd to October 2nd, with this team's matches scheduled for September 30th to October 2nd, and the gold medal match expected to begin on October 2nd.
