September 26th - According to ESPN , the Memphis Grizzlies announced on Friday that they have waived 30- year-old veteran point guard D'Angelo Russell . With only one month left before the start of the new season, Russell has become a free agent.

The 30- year-old D'Angelo Russell played for the Dallas Mavericks at the beginning of last season before being traded twice. In February , he was sent to the Washington Wizards as part of the Anthony Davis trade; this summer, he was sent to Memphis in a six - team deal. However, Russell ultimately did not play for either the Wizards or the Grizzlies.

Last season, Russell played 26 games for the Mavericks , averaging 10.2 points and 4.0 assists. His most recent standout performance was during the 2023-24 season with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he averaged 18 points and 5 assists, before being traded multiple times.
