Dota 2 team OG announces new season roster: Topson announces his return.

Two-time International (TI) champions OG have officially announced their new international roster for the 2026-27 season. Among them, midlaner Topson, who helped the team win two world championships, has rejoined after nearly five years away, becoming the core of the new lineup.

In addition to Topson, the team has brought in two new members: SSS, on loan from PARIVISION for position 3, and OneJey for position 4. Natsumi for position 1 and Skem for position 5 are the only two players remaining from last season's roster. Meanwhile, kaffs, who previously coached HEROIC and LGD's South American division, will become the team's new coach.

The roster adjustment is primarily due to OG's poor performance last season. In September 2025, OG moved to the Southeast Asian region and assembled an all-Filipino roster. However, after a brief period of success, the team's performance steadily declined, failing to reach the top eight in several major tournaments.

Despite signing Raven in June and successfully qualifying for TI 2026, OG was eliminated in the group stage, finishing only 14th or 15th. Earlier this month, OG decided to terminate the contracts of Yopaj, Raven, Tims, and coach 343, and rebuild the team.

Topson's return to the professional scene was quite unexpected. During TI 2026, LGD's original mid-laner was banned for violating regulations, and Topson, who had been retired for two years, came on as an emergency substitute for LGD.

In LGD, Topson not only helped the team advance from the group stage, but also had a fierce battle against Team Yandex, who ultimately finished third, in the playoffs. This experience as a substitute rekindled his desire to play professionally, and he eventually decided to return to OG.

This new team, led by Topson, will make its debut in the BLAST SLAM VIII tournament, which opens on September 29.
