Don't gamble with your life. Ensure your surroundings are safe before rushing to the mid lane to farm. Even if you get criticized for stealing gold, remember that farming is extremely important for Hou Yi. It may be difficult to survive, but there is a chance to win big in the late game. Positioning is crucial.

The "conjoined twins" strategy is recommended, but soft support characters are not advised as combat partners.

Data doesn't lie. Solo queue requires careful consideration; duo or team queue, feel free to pick Hou Yi! At least ensure the support doesn't abandon you and switch to helping the jungler. The item build is straightforward: burst damage, Shadow Blade, Infinity Edge, Dawnbreaker, and Sunbow. The items are fixed, except for boots, which should be purchased situationally.
