Luis García Praza was satisfied with the team's performance, believing that the players showed a good mental attitude.

Sevilla manager Luis García Praza praised the team's overall performance in the fifth round of La Liga's 2026/27 season, particularly highlighting their excellent form in the second half, after defeating Valencia.  

After the match, Luis García Praza said, "The team deserved this victory, especially in the second half, where we controlled the game almost completely. Perhaps the only area for improvement is the lack of creative ideas in attack. But all the players showed a very high level of commitment, and the midfield's overall performance was particularly commendable."  

"We did leave some space for our opponents to exploit during our aggressive pressing, but that won't change our determination to keep going. If they use fast counter-attacks to create threats and ultimately win, we must accept that result. The team has a strong desire to win right now, and I hope everyone can continue to improve on that foundation. This isn't to say there's a problem with the team's attitude, because I'm very satisfied with the players' commitment; rather, I hope some players can be more creative in the attacking phase."  

The head coach also mentioned a key characteristic that the team has gradually developed since he took charge: maintaining competitiveness against any opponent. He stated, "Since I took over the team, we have consistently demonstrated our fighting spirit in matches. This has gradually become part of the team's DNA and aligns with the club's long-held philosophy. No matter the situation, we will not give up easily but will fight to the very end. Even when we were down 0-3 against Atletico Madrid, we proved that."  

"We can't stop moving forward, after all, the league has only just begun and there's still a long way to go. But for now, I'm very satisfied with the team's condition. In fact, during the preseason preparation, we gradually saw signs of the team coming together as a whole. Now we should cherish and enjoy this time, because difficulties will inevitably arise during the season."  

Luis García Praza also spoke highly of the Sevilla fans after the match. The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium once again resounded with enthusiastic cheers, demonstrating the fans' powerful support for the team. He added, "Our fans are truly incredible. After what happened last season, we've built a very deep bond, and this home atmosphere should continue in every game. When the players give their all on the pitch, the fans behind them never stop supporting them."
