Counter Strike 2: Luminosity benched lurker Bymas..

Canadian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club Luminosity announced on Tuesday via their official X (Twitter) account that they have benched lurker Bymas.

Bymas's benching is largely attributed to his abysmal performance since joining the team. The former Monte player's poor performance in the last two major tournaments led to the team's last-placed elimination.

The Canadian club, which returned to the professional  Counter Strike 2 (CS2) esports scene in July, previously signed four core members of Monte, but did not sign their former in-game leader, Gizmy.

Meanwhile, the club also signed lux, a player from the Brazilian club Legacy, as their in-game leader. However, this decision not only failed to provide a solid foundation for Luminosity but also resulted in a collective collapse in their performance.

This significant change led to Luminosity finishing last in both the XSE Pro League Guangzhou and the Esports World Cup, failing to replicate their strong performance at the Cologne Major.

On the other hand, according to Dust2, this may not be the only roster change Luminosity will make.

The report states that despite their poor performance, the team may still decide to permanently appoint head coach kakafu.

Bymas' position may be replaced by former HEROIC rifler yxngstxr.
