Levante's Spanish midfielder Pablo Martínez officially joins Malaga on a free transfer..

Malaga announced on their official website on Sunday that Levante's Spanish midfielder Pablo Martínez has joined the club on a free transfer.

According to Malaga's official statement, Martínez has signed on a short-term one-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027. The contract can be automatically extended for another year if the club successfully avoids relegation.

About Pablo Martínez

The 28-year-old Martínez was born on February 22, 1998, in Madrid, Spain. He is 1.82 meters tall and primarily plays as a center midfielder, but can also play as an attacking midfielder.

Martínez joined the youth academy of Moratalaz, a non-league club in the suburbs of Madrid, at the age of nine. In 2016, he joined Alcorcón's youth academy, started playing for their B team in April of the following year, before completing his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in February 2018.

In July 2019, Martínez moved to Levante on a free transfer. During his time at Levante, he also played on-loan for Mirandés and Huesca.

During his five-and-a-half-year spell with Levante, Martinez made 155 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 18 assists, winning one Segunda División title with the team.
