Sebastian Pocognoli: This match won't be easy, we will try to play more aggressively and proactively.

The Scottish national team is about to face Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League. Ahead of the match, new manager Sebastian Poconioli led the team to Barclays-Hampton Stadium for training and gave a media interview after the open training session. This will be his first time leading the Scottish team in a home game at the National Stadium.  

Sebastian Poconioli spoke about his expectations for his first time coaching in front of Glasgow's home fans, while also looking ahead to the upcoming match against Switzerland. He said: "I think we had a very valuable test in Slovenia, playing away there is never easy. I know Switzerland has also played there, and they faced a tough match as well."  

“After the match, we were indeed disappointed that we failed to score. But personally, I am not worried about the team’s scoring ability because we have very good strikers. We can create chances and have a variety of ways to score. Whether it’s from set pieces or by having our full-backs move into the penalty area, we have opportunities to score. Therefore, scoring is not just the strikers’ job; we can create threats through players in different positions.”  

"Switzerland is a strong team, and they are a country with a deep footballing heritage, so this match is destined to be tough. It's certainly exciting to play against such an opponent at home. We respect Switzerland, but in terms of attitude and pre-match preparation, we hope to make them feel that this is our home ground. We will strive to play more proactively and try to control the pace of the game."
