Dwight Powell returns to the Mavericks for his 12th season.

September 28th - The Dallas Mavericks officially announced the signing of center Dwight Powell . Specific contract terms have not yet been disclosed, in accordance with team policy. Powell's return brings the Mavericks' training camp roster to 19 players.

The 35- year -old Powell has 12 years of NBA experience, having played for the Celtics and Mavericks. He has appeared in 768 games, starting 266 of them , averaging 6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game, and playing 17.5 minutes per game .

Since joining the Mavericks in 2014 , Powell has become one of the team's longest-serving players and ranks highly in several franchise statistics. He ranks fourth in franchise history with a career field goal percentage of 60.6% , fifth in games played (763) , sixth in offensive rebounds (1187 ), sixth in total rebounds (3251 ), and tenth in blocks (330) .

Last season, Powell played 63 games for the Mavericks , averaging 3.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Upon his return, the veteran will participate in the team's training camp, continuing his fight for a roster spot in the new season.
