Jorge Jesus was satisfied with the team's performance, but admitted that there is still room for improvement.

Portugal's national team coach Jorge Jesus gave a sideline interview after the team's 2-1 victory over Norway, during which he discussed the team's overall performance, defensive arrangements, personnel adjustments, and Cristiano Ronaldo's absence from the game.  

After the match, Jorge Jesus said: "This is a very important victory. In my opinion, Norway is one of the top five teams in Europe. It is incredible that they have a top center forward who can score at any time. However, our last line of defense performed very well, especially the two center-backs, who did a very good job defending in the middle with the help of João Palinha and Ruben Neves."  

“Even so, Haaland still managed six shots in the penalty area and scored one of them. I’m satisfied with the team’s performance today. These kinds of matches are not easy. You have to keep making adjustments in official competitions like the UEFA Nations League. This is not a friendly match that the coach can experiment with at will. Any tactical experiment may succeed or fail, and it is inherently risky. Once a problem occurs, we don’t have the opportunity to go back to the beginning of the match and start over.”  

“I am satisfied with the team’s current performance. Of course, if you ask whether there is room for further improvement, the answer is definitely yes. I am trying different approaches through official matches, and as the games go by, I will gain more insights and make corresponding decisions accordingly.”  

“Even when the game is in the last 10 minutes, when I make adjustments, I never think about simply maintaining the lead, but rather I hope the team can score 3-1. I think Norway may have difficulty dealing with more new players with attacking attributes, so I prefer this approach rather than bringing on defensive players.”
