Harry Kane believes the team should look for positive aspects in this game.

Harry Kane stated that although England narrowly lost 2-3 to Spain in the UEFA Nations League, the team's performance in the match proved that they have the ability to compete head-to-head with the world's top teams.  

England engaged in a thrilling and intense match at Wembley Stadium, but ultimately failed to hold onto their lead and suffered a disappointing defeat. Goals from Harry Kane and Anthony Gordon helped Thomas Tuchel's England take the lead at one point.  

This was England's first match since the end of the World Cup, and Yamal opened the scoring for England just two minutes into the game. However, England quickly regained their rhythm and displayed a high level of play that Harry Kane believes is rare for the team recently, regaining control of the game.  

England then launched a quick and fluid counter-attack, with Anthony Gordon finishing to equalize. Just four minutes later, Harry Kane scored again, heading the ball into the net to give England the lead, going into halftime 2-1.  

In the second half, Harry Kane had a penalty opportunity that could have helped England extend their lead, but his shot hit the crossbar and bounced out, missing a golden chance. Spain then launched a fierce counterattack, with Alex Baena and Mikel Oyarzabal scoring to complete the comeback and ultimately defeat England 3-2.  

When asked whether England's performance before and after halftime reflected the level of play expected from them, Harry Kane said: "I think so. As I mentioned before, we showed a very high level of play during the World Cup, but we just couldn't maintain that level for the full 90 minutes."  

"Today's game was perhaps the same; we had many excellent performances on the pitch. But I think that period was one of the best we've played in a long time, which shows that we know what we're capable of."  

“We are facing the current world champions and European champions, but we are fully capable of going toe-to-toe with them. If this match had been played on another day, I have no doubt that we would have won. So we should see the positive side of this match. It is normal to feel disappointed now, but we must adjust our form as soon as possible and get back into the fight in a few days.”
