September 26 - New York Knicks star guard Jalen Brunson has received medical clearance and will be healthy for the 2026-27 season.

 

“ As you know, I had surgery during the offseason, ” Brunson said during a live recording of the “ Roommates Show ” podcast Thursday night . “ I just want to let everyone know that I’m fully cleared to return. ”

 

According to a previous report by ESPN reporter Shams Charania , Brunson played through injury throughout the Knicks' championship run last season and underwent surgery in July . Sources previously predicted that the surgery would not affect his participation in the new season.

 

In last season's NBA Finals, Brunson averaged 32.6 points, 4.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game, helping the Knicks defeat the San Antonio Spurs to win their first NBA championship in 53 years and earning him the Finals MVP award .
