Zidane was deeply moved as he prepared to make his debut as manager of France.

Following Didier Deschamps' resignation as head coach after the World Cup, football legend Zinedine Zidane was appointed as the new head coach of the French national football team in July.

Born in France, Zinedine Zidane previously coached La Liga giants Real Madrid, leading them to two La Liga titles, three Champions League titles, and two UEFA Super Cup titles.

At the press conference, Zidane said, "I am truly moved to become the head coach of the French national team. This is a completely new journey. Now that I am the national team coach, everyone is talking about it, but that is normal."

In terms of squad selection, Mbappe, Rabiot, Dembele, Joro, Jeremy Jacquet, and Andy Diouf were among those called up.

Zidane continued, "So far, I'm satisfied with everything I've seen. France's doors are open to everyone, we have a good squad with experienced players and new faces joining us. We have to accept the attention we're receiving, but that's not what I came here for. For me, the most important thing is to win the game."

Furthermore, Adrien Rabiot, the French midfielder who plays for AC Milan, said, "Zidane's aura means he will attract a lot of attention. In some ways, the focus is more on the coach, which is actually a good thing for us players. This way, the players can have more quiet space."
