Cristiano Ronaldo addresses controversies in an interview, vowing to reach his 1000th career goal.

In a recent media interview, Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) addressed speculation and criticism regarding his future with the national team.

The Portuguese football legend has made it clear that he will continue to play for his country and is aiming for the milestone of 1,000 career goals.

In an exclusive interview, Cristiano Ronaldo admitted that he had considered retiring from the national team after being eliminated from the World Cup. However, after communicating with the football association president and the new coach, he firmly believes that he can still help the team both on and off the field.

"I'm always thinking about the future and the present," Ronaldo said in an interview. "If I feel I can no longer contribute to the team, or if the national team no longer needs me, I will be the first to pack my bags and leave. But as long as the Portuguese people still trust me, I will stay."

Facing external doubts and criticisms, Cristiano Ronaldo displayed humor and composure. He jokingly said that he sometimes has to maintain "political correctness" and bluntly stated, "Some TV channels like to criticize me, and even want to 'kill' me with a shotgun."

"But I've been playing football for over 20 years and I'm used to criticism. I can't control what other people say, so I'll just focus on the people who like me and continue to be a good role model for the younger generation."

Portugal's new coach, Jorge Jesus, was also present for an interview. He strongly endorsed Cristiano Ronaldo as a symbol of Portugal and confirmed that the 41-year-old veteran would start in the match against Wales.
