Australian international Toure suffers shoulder injury and will miss both matches against Brazil.

Just before two important international friendly matches against Brazil on home soil, the Australian men's national football team was hit by a sudden injury crisis.

Australian manager Tony Popovic had to make urgent adjustments to the squad: 22-year-old striker Mohamed Touré, who was in excellent form, withdrew from the match due to a shoulder injury, and midfielder Alexander Robertson was also recalled by the club for physical reasons.

Norwich City's Toure suffered an unexpected setback in Sunday's Championship match against Bolton Wanderers. He scored early in the game with a brilliant shot from the edge of the box, netting his fifth goal in his last six appearances.

However, just minutes later, Toure fell to the ground during a challenge with an opposing defender, resulting in a shoulder injury. He was forced to leave the game in the 15th minute and was immediately taken to the hospital for examination. This striker, who was originally slated to be the team's main striker, was thus unable to play for the team.

Faced with the unfavorable situation of losing two key players, head coach Popovic only called up one substitute player, winger Nishan Velupillay, who plays for Ingolstadt in the third division.

This round of the series is scheduled to take place this Friday in Townsville and next Tuesday at Brisbane's Suncroft Stadium, against Brazil, a strong South American team coached by Ancelotti.

This is Australia's first appearance since reaching the Round of 16 in the World Cup, and it is also a key battle for Popovich in his preparations for the Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia early next year. The changes in the lineup will undoubtedly test the team's tactical cohesion.
