Dota 2 three-time champion Team Spirit announces their roster for the new season.

Team Spirit, the reigning world champions who just defeated the formidable TEAM VISION 3-2 in the finals of The International 2026 (TI 2026) in Shanghai last month and won their third Aegis of Champions, has officially announced the phased roster changes for the 2026-27 competitive season.

Team Spirit's legendary offlaner Collapse and coach Miposhka have both announced a temporary hiatus from professional gaming. In an interview, Collapse revealed that he needs five to six months to rediscover his competitive edge and expects to return in the first quarter of 2027. Miposhka, who witnessed the team's three championship wins as both a player and coach, will be on an indefinite leave of absence.

In preparation for BLAST Slam VIII, which kicks off on September 29th, Team Spirit quickly implemented a roster replacement plan. Rookie Batyuk from the academy team Yellow Submarine will fill the offlane position, leaving the void left by Collapse; veteran IllidanSTR returns as head coach. Both have previously played for or come off the bench for Team Spirit and are very familiar with the team's system.

The official statement specifically pointed out that this personnel adjustment is mainly for the upcoming matches and is not a permanent change. The new lineup consists of position 1 Yatoro, position 2 Larl, position 3 Batyuk, position 4 not me, position 5 rue, and coach IllidanSTR. They will make their official debut in the first match of the new season.
