Schalke completes contract extension with young German defensive midfielder Luca Vozar..

Schalke announced on their official website on Sunday that the club has extended the contract of its young German defensive midfielder Luca Vozar.

According to Schalke's official statement, Vozar has signed on a new three-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029.

After completing his contract extension procedures, Vozar, who was interviewed by the Schalke official website again, said: "Making my Bundesliga debut on home turf was a dream come true. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me on my journey at Schalke so far."

"Achieving this milestone with this club means the world to me—after all, I was registered as a member when I was just three months old. Of course, I am eager to keep progressing and reach new heights in my career, but staying humble and grounded remains just as important to me."

About Luca Vozar

Vozar, who is only still 19 years old, was born on May 6, 2007, in Bottrop, Germany. He is 1.73 meters tall and primarily plays as a defensive midfielder but can also play as a center midfielder or as an attacking midfielder.

Vozar came up through Schalke's youth academy. He began playing for the reserve team in 2024 and completed his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in September 2026.

Over the past two years, Vozar has so far made 75 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga side's reserve team, scoring 17 goals and providing 14 assists.
