LPL Regional Qualifiers Conclude: IG Advances to 2026 World Championship

In the lower bracket final of the 2026 League of Legends Pro League (LPL) regional qualifier, Invictus Gaming (IG) defeated JD Gaming (JDG) 3-1, successfully securing the fourth and final ticket for the LPL region to the 2026 World Championship.

With this, the four teams representing the LPL at this year's World Championship have been determined: Anyone's Legend, Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports (TES), and IG.

All four teams will advance directly to the Swiss-system stage, with the competition taking place from October 23rd to 31st in Allen, Texas, USA. JDG, having lost, will miss the World Championship for the third consecutive year and will join fourth-placed Team WE in the Demacia Cup Global Invitational.

IG's journey this season has not been smooth. After roster adjustments, the team finalized its starting lineup in July with TheShy, Rookie, Meiko, JiaQi, and Wei, and finished third in the third stage to qualify for the qualifiers.

Although IG lost to TES in the upper bracket finals, they showed better form in their do-or-die match against JDG. They won the first two games thanks to outstanding performances from JiaQi, Rookie, and Wei. JDG fought back tenaciously in the third game, but IG controlled the pace of the fourth game to end the match and secure their place in the World Championship.
