Top-tier small forward ATF officially joins Team Yandex

Former Team Falcons Dota 2 star offlaner ATF has officially joined Team Yandex, the top team with the most consistent performance last season.

While this world-class signing has attracted attention in the region, the potential clashes in the team's playstyle have also sparked widespread discussion.

ATF is known for his aggressive offlane playstyle, which involves "consuming resources and picking late-game carry heroes." Previously at Falcons, he benefited from Skiter's resource-giving playstyle as a utility carry, allowing him to assume the role of the team's core player.

However, Team Yandex's carry player, watson`, is a typical traditional farming core, and having both of them on the same team will inevitably pose a huge challenge in terms of map economy distribution. Under these circumstances, the burden of the team's early game tempo will fall entirely on the shoulders of mid laner CHIRA_JUNIOR and the two supports.

Given that dual-core teams need a lot of farming space, the outstanding CHIRA_JUNIOR must establish an advantage and dominate the game during the laning phase. It may even be necessary for the team to reserve a last counter pick for him and transform him into an offensive core similar to No[o]ne-. The two supports, Saksa and Malady, must also revitalize the game by frequently roaming and controlling runes.

Although the dual-core lineup may experience a period of adjustment and growing pains, Team Yandex, with its players like watson, CHIRA_JUNIOR, and a TI champion offlane (Saksa+ATF), has reached its peak on paper.

Team Yandex, who have already won three S-tier championships last season, could very well have ATF as the final piece of the puzzle to help them win TI if they can solve their resource allocation problem. The new roster will make its official debut at the PGL Wallachia tournament on September 19th.
