Fulham completes contract extension with French goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte..

Fulham announced on their official website on Wednesday that the club has extended the contract of its French goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte.

According to Fulham's official statement, Lecomte has signed a new short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2028.

After completing his contract extension procedures, Lecomte, who was interviewed by the Fulham's official website again, said: "I feel really good here, whether it's with the team, the staff, or everyone at the club. It feels great to extend my contract and continue moving forward together with the club."

About Benjamin Lecomte

The 35-year-old Lecomte was born on April 26, 1991, in Paris, France. He is 1.87 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper.

Lecomte spent his early years in the youth academy at Niort but was eventually released. After leaving Niort, he joined Lorient in 2010 and completed his first-team debut in a Coupe de la Ligue match that October.

In the summer of 2013, Lecomte was loaned-out to Dijon. Upon returning the following summer, he established himself as Lorient's undisputed first-choice goalkeeper.

In July 2017, Lecomte moved to Montpellier for a fee of €2.5 million.

During his two-year spell at Montpellier, he helped the team reach the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals once and the Coupe de France Round of 16s once.

In the summer of 2019, Lecomte moved to Monaco for €11.5 million.

During his two-year spell at Monaco, he helped the team reach the Coupe de France semi-finals once.

Between the summer of 2021 and the latter half of the following year, Lecomte had loan spells at Atlético Madrid and Espanyol successively.

In January 2023, Lecomte returned to Montpellier for a fee of €3 million.

In the summer of 2025, Lecomte joined Fulham for a fee of £500,000. 

Since joining the Cottagers, Lecomte has so far made just nine appearances for the Premier League club across all competitions, conceding eight goals and keeping three clean sheets.
