Bologna officially announced the dismissal of Tedesco, and his successor is former Atalanta coach Palladino.

Bologna announced on Wednesday that 41-year-old Domenico Tedesco will no longer serve as the first-team coach.

As an outstanding representative of Italy's young generation of coaches, Tedesco led RB Leipzig and Fenerbahce to win the German Cup and the Turkish Super Cup, respectively. He also coached several teams, including Aue, Schalke 04, Spartak Moscow, and Belgium. His greatest achievement was undoubtedly leading Schalke to a runner-up finish in the Bundesliga that season.

In June of this year, Tedesco officially succeeded Vincenzo Italiano as Bologna's head coach. However, since Tedesco took over, Bologna has gone four rounds without a win and currently sits fifth from bottom in Serie A with a record of 1 draw and 3 losses, accumulating only 1 point.

According to an official statement, Tedesco's successor is his compatriot, former Atalanta coach Raffaele Palladino. Palladino has signed a three-year contract with Bologna, valid until June 30, 2029.

Palladino has been unemployed since being dismissed from Atalanta in June. His appointment as manager of Bologna marks his return to the helm after three months of unemployment.

Besides Atalanta, Palladino has also served as manager of Monza and Fiorentina. Despite being only 42 years old, he has already led his teams in European competitions twice.
