The Raptors have officially completed a 7-for-1 trade, bringing back 35-year-old veteran Kawhi Leonard from the Clippers.

The Toronto Raptors announced Monday that they have acquired seven-time All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard from the Los Angeles Clippers. In exchange, they sent Brandon Ingram, Grady Dick, two unprotected first-round picks, two second-round picks, and a first-round pick swap right.

The two teams initially reached an agreement on the trade on June 30, but it was temporarily shelved due to the Clippers' involvement in a dual contract scandal. After the Clippers admitted their mistake and accepted the league's punishment, the trade to Leonard and the Raptors was finally completed.

To facilitate this trade, Leonard reportedly waived a $7.45 million trade bonus. This move would reduce the Raptors' total salary cap to approximately $2.3 million below the top tier of wealthy players.

Regarding the signing, Raptors General Manager and Executive Vice President Bobby Webster said, "We are thrilled to welcome Kawhi back to Toronto. His impact on our team, our city, and our country is undeniable, and he embodies the competitiveness and championship mentality we value. We believe his leadership, experience, and talent will help us continue to move toward our next championship goal."

Upon returning to Toronto, the 35-year-old Leonard will be entering his 15th NBA season. Drafted 15th overall in 2011, he previously played for the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, and Los Angeles Clippers.

To date, Leonard has played 798 regular season games, averaging 20.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.7 steals in 31.8 minutes per game, and has amassed numerous individual accolades, including three All-NBA First Team selections, three All-Defensive First Team selections, two Defensive Player of the Year awards, and one steals title. He also played 146 playoff games, averaging 21.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 steals in 35.6 minutes per game, leading the Spurs and Raptors to two NBA championships with a Finals MVP-caliber performance.
