Nuno Espirito Santo: The remaining schedule is challenging, and we will focus on playing well in every match.

West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo hopes his team can maintain their recent hot streak and continue their strong performance in the third round of the English League Cup at home against Premier League side Fulham. After a poor start to the Championship season, the team quickly recovered, climbing to the top of the table with a four-game winning streak, including a 6-0 thrashing of Wrexham last Friday.  

West Ham United are currently on a six-game unbeaten run across all competitions, a streak that began with their recent League Cup victory, a convincing 4-1 away win against Southampton. Now, West Ham face another test against a Premier League team.  

Nuno Espirito Santo hopes the team can continue their strong performance, maintain the club's current positive atmosphere, and strive to go further in the English League Cup, aiming for the Wembley final. He stated, "We have been training and preparing, fully ready to face Fulham again. The schedule is very tight right now, and whenever we win a game, we can only briefly enjoy the joy of victory before immediately turning our attention back to the match against Fulham."  

"No matter how many games we have to play next, it's always good for us to maintain our rhythm. As long as we can manage our squad well, I think it will also provide a great opportunity for the players who train hard every day. We can't give every player playing time all the time, and the cup competitions are a good opportunity for them to get playing time, enjoy the game, gain experience, and improve themselves. We will need every player throughout the season, so we hope everyone can grow as quickly as possible and make progress in all aspects."  

“This match will be a good test for us. It’s always good to play against strong opponents because it makes us realize that we still have a long way to go and that there are many areas in the squad that need improvement. The upcoming matches are destined to be very, very difficult. Now that we’ve made it into the English League Cup, we’ll focus on taking it one game at a time and seeing how far we can go.”
