Young midfielder Haydn Murray-Holme signs first professional contract with Liverpool..

Liverpool announced on their official website on Friday that young English midfielder Hayden Murray-Holme has signed his first professional contract with the club.

According to the club's official statement, Murray-Holme has signed on a three-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029.

Speaking to Liverpool's official website for the first time after completing the signing, Murray-Holme said: "I joined the academy setup when I was six. I was scouted, have been here ever since, and officially became an academy player at 16."

"I’m really excited; having been here since I was young, I’m delighted to sign here."

"I see myself as a creative player with good passing ability; I’m comfortable handling the ball in tight spaces and enjoy creating chances. I like to express myself on the pitch."

"I probably still need to improve my play off the ball, as well as my decision-making when in possession at times."

"Obviously, I’m always eager to play that killer pass, but sometimes it’s better to wait for the right moment, because the opportunity will eventually come."

"I hope to push for a spot in the U21s squad, play in the UEFA Youth League, maintain my good form, express myself on the pitch, and enjoy the game."

"I got a few chances in the youth league last year and really enjoyed the experience, so I’m hoping for more of that." 

About Haydn Murray-Holme

Murray-Holme who is only still 17 years old, was born on September 30, 2008, in Wirral, Merseyside, England. He primarily plays as a center midfielder but can also play as an attacking midfielder.

Murray-Holme joined Liverpool’s renowned Kirkby youth academy at the age of six and began representing the club's U18s squad in 2024.

Since joining the Reds, Murray-Holme has so far made 34 appearances for the Premier League giants' U18s team across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing six assists.
