Joblife shuts down its League of Legends division..

French esports club Joblife announced on Friday via its official X (Twitter) account that they are shutting down its League of Legends division.

In its official statement, Joblife expressed deep gratitude to fans for their support; while their League of Legends division is closing, the club’s VALORANT division will continue to operate.

Joblife’s exit is closely linked to the instability of the regional league ecosystem within the League of Legends esports scene.

It is a sobering situation, given that the club recently had to hold a charity fundraiser just to secure operating budget.

Since mid-2023, French clubs have frequently exited the scene.

From LDLC OL, AEGIS, and Gentle Mates to the BDS academy team and GameWard, the League of Legends esports landscape has seen at least one club suddenly cease operations almost every year.

Outlets such as Sheep Esports and Esports Insider have even analyzed that this trend could become more widespread by the 2027 season.

Founded in late November 2021, Joblife is a professional esports club focused on competing in titles developed by Riot Games.

During its five-year tenure in the League of Legends scene, Joblife spent three years in the LFL Division 2 before being promoted to the LFL top-tier for the 2025 season. Across their campaigns, they reached the playoffs twice, achieving a best finish of fifth to sixth place.
