Tottenham striker Richarlison's transfer to Vasco da Gama has fallen through.

The transfer plan for Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison to return to Vasco da Gama in the Brazilian league has been officially shelved.

Tottenham had previously reached an agreement with Vasco da Gama on a transfer fee, but the deal fell through due to disagreements over personal wages. With the Brazilian transfer window closing on Friday night, the 29-year-old striker is expected to remain in London.

Richarlison's recent transfer dealings have not gone smoothly. He was expected to return to fellow Premier League side Everton for £35 million on transfer deadline day, but the deal also fell through due to personal issues.

Due to ongoing saga surrounding his departure, Tottenham Hotspur have not included Richarlison in their Premier League registration list for the new season. According to media reports, Richarlison and Tottenham are currently embroiled in a dispute over the remaining nine months of his contract; the player prefers to negotiate a direct termination and become a free agent, but Tottenham still holds a one-year option to extend his contract.

As the team's top scorer last season, Richarlison scored 11 goals, helping Tottenham narrowly avoid relegation. However, regarding the current situation, manager Roberto De Zerbi admitted at a press conference that excluding Richarlison was not a unilateral decision by the coaching staff, but rather the result of the player's own choices over the past 45 days. De Zerbi expressed regret, but said he could only accept reality.

With the path back to the Brazilian league closed, Richarlison, who was left out of the Premier League registration list, will face a period of being without a club in the coming months, and his future remains shrouded in mystery.
