The Philadelphia 76ers were originally the Syracuse Nationals. After playing 14 seasons with the Nationals, Schayes played one more season with the 76ers . In the 1950-51 season, he led the league in rebounds with an average of 16.4 per game , and went on to average 12 or more rebounds per game for 11 consecutive seasons. In 996 games for the team , Schayes averaged 12.1 rebounds per game.

2. Johnny Kerr ( 9506 rebounds )

Like Schayes, Kerr also played for the Nationals and the 76ers . He averaged 6.6 rebounds per game in his rookie season . From 1956 to 1964 , Kerr averaged 11.2 or more rebounds per game for eight consecutive seasons. In 834 games played for his teams , Kerr averaged 11.4 rebounds per game.

3. Charles Barkley ( 7079 rebounds )

The 76ers selected Barkley with the fifth overall pick in the 1984 NBA draft.
