Pistons' all-time top five rebounders: Bill Laimbeer tops the list

The Detroit Pistons have a history of outstanding rebounders, including some of the best interior players in NBA history. Here are the top five Pistons players in franchise history for total rebounds:
1. Bill Laimbeer ( 9430 rebounds )
With the exception of his final season, Bill Laimbeer played at least 79 games in every other season of his career , including seven seasons with a total of 82 games. In his first seven seasons with the Pistons , Laimbeer averaged over 10.1 rebounds per game each year . He was a four- time All-Star, playing 937 games for the Pistons and averaging 10.1 rebounds per game.
2. Andre Drummond ( 8199 rebounds)
Drummond played for the Pistons early in his career, finishing fourth in the 2012-13 Rookie of the Year voting. He then averaged over 13.2 rebounds per game for seven consecutive seasons, winning the league rebounding title four times. In the 2017-18 season, he averaged 16.0 rebounds per game. Drummond played 591 games for the Pistons , averaging 13.9 rebounds per game.
3. Bob Lanier ( 8063 rebounds)
Bob Lanier was a seven- time All-Star and a four- time top-ten finisher in the regular season MVP voting during his time with the Pistons . He had a consistent start to his career, playing at least 80 games in each of his first four seasons . In the 1972-73 season, he averaged 14.9 rebounds per game. After his rookie season, he averaged over 11.3 rebounds per game for seven consecutive seasons .
4. Ben Wallace ( 7264 rebounds )
Ben Wallace was a four- time All- Star , a six- time All-Defensive Team selection, and a four- time Defensive Player of the Year. Starting in the 2000-01 season, he averaged over 12.2 rebounds per game for five consecutive seasons , winning the league rebounding title twice. In the 2002-03 season, he averaged 15.4 rebounds per game. Wallace played 655 games for the Pistons , averaging 11.1 rebounds per game.
5. Dennis Rodman ( 6299 rebounds )
Rodman played his first seven seasons with the Pistons, winning the Defensive Player of the Year award twice and playing all 82 games in five consecutive seasons . In his final two seasons with the Pistons, he averaged 18.7 and 18.3 rebounds per game, respectively. In both of his rebounding titles, he averaged over 39 minutes per game.
