Jarrod Bowen: I'm very happy to score for this club.

West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen scored twice away from home to help his team defeat Bolton and secure their third consecutive victory in the Championship. After the match, the West Ham captain couldn't hide his joy, a smile constantly on his face.  

After the match, Jarrod Bowen said, "We are certainly very satisfied with this victory. Playing away here is never an easy task. Our opponents showed great energy on the field, which put a lot of pressure on us. At the same time, the fans in the stadium were very loud, constantly creating a disturbance and trying to disrupt our rhythm."  

"It was certainly important to take the lead away from home, but unfortunately we couldn't hold onto it and the opponent equalized. Fortunately, we scored again from a set piece to tie the game, which was a crucial turning point for the team. Of course, it's always great to score in any stadium, but it feels especially special to score against the fans who came all the way to support us away from home."  

"At halftime, we readjusted our game and identified areas for improvement in the second half. We knew we had to increase the intensity of the game, keep up with the opponent's pace, and seize opportunities decisively. We did create some good chances during the game, and the goal had an element of luck, but if you don't even attempt a shot, it's even less likely you'll score. Fortunately, the ball eventually went into the goal, and that moment felt fantastic."  

Jarrod Bowen's brace brought his goal tally to five in all competitions this season, and was also his third goal in the Championship this past week. Speaking about the goal, he said the feeling was particularly special when the ball finally crossed the goal line past Gavin Bazuno.  

He continued, "Scoring for this club is a very happy thing in itself, but the joy is even more special when the goal happens in front of the fans. Of course, a goal is happy no matter where it happens, but scoring for the fans who have traveled a long way away is a completely different experience."  

“My father was here with me, along with some friends, so it made me really happy to celebrate with them at this moment. Actually, I had a chance to complete a hat-trick today, so it's a bit of a shame that I didn't achieve it. However, I will cherish these two goals and enjoy the team's victory!”  

After securing three points at Tofcht Community Stadium, West Ham United have amassed nine points in just one week. They also defeated Wolves and Derby County, and climbed to the top of the table on goal difference. Jarrod Bowen admitted that the season is still early and the team has a long road ahead, but he is very encouraged by their growing confidence and increasingly evident progress. He believes the team has room for further improvement, and their focus is now on Friday evening's home game against Wrexham.  

Jarrod Bowen added, "I think we're slowly getting rid of the pressure we were under before. Before the season started, there were high expectations for the team, which put a lot of pressure on us. Of course, the first few weeks of the season were a big test for the whole team, and we gradually realized that the road ahead wouldn't be smooth sailing."  

“We know very well that to achieve good results, we must fight for every point. I don’t think the team has fully reached its expected level of performance yet, but at least we are consistently winning games. We know that we still have many problems to solve and a lot of room for improvement, but I think the team has successfully broken through a stage. More importantly, we will never get tired of winning.”
