Official: Paderborn and 24-year-old center-back Tark Schele have completed a contract extension.

Paderborn 07 announced on Friday that they have officially extended Tark Schellet's contract, which was originally set to expire next summer. The club is following custom by not disclosing the specific length of the extension or other details.

Scheele, 24, is a 1.92-meter-tall German center-back who previously played for Klopp, Holstein Kiel, Schalke 04, and St. Pauli during his youth academy years. Since joining Paderborn on a free transfer in July 2024, he has contributed 3 goals in 62 Bundesliga 2 matches and played a crucial role in the team's promotion to the Bundesliga with his outstanding defensive performances.

On August 28th local time, Schele made his Bundesliga debut in Paderborn's 0-0 draw against Mainz. He has become an indispensable defensive core for Paderborn.

Following the contract extension, Paderborn Sport General Manager Sebastian Lange stated: "Tark has developed into a key player for Paderborn. He is extremely physically strong, composed on the field, and always puts the team's interests first. He is very reliable both on and off the field, perfectly aligning with our development philosophy. Therefore, we are very pleased that Tark will remain with the team."
