French football star Bonjaman Stambay announced his retirement at the age of 36.

French football star Bonjamen Stambay has officially announced his retirement, ending his 16-year professional career. He had been unemployed since his contract with Metz expired in July of this year.

In his retirement statement, Stumble wrote: "A player's career is bound to have various challenges and victories and defeats, as well as glory and joy. How happy I have been over the years."

"I am deeply grateful for all the words of encouragement, the cheers that shook the stadium, and the emotions buried deep in my heart."

"My dream continues, and I look forward to meeting everyone again on the sidelines someday."

The 36-year-old Stomboli primarily plays as a defensive midfielder and center-back. He made his professional debut for Montpellier in Ligue 1 on August 9, 2010. He subsequently played for Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain, Schalke 04, Demere Sport, and Reims, before playing his final match in Metz.

To date, Stumble has made 482 club appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing 25 assists. He won two Ligue 1 titles, one French Cup, one French League Cup, and two French Super Cups with Montpellier and Paris Saint-Germain, and also helped Schalke 04 to a Bundesliga runner-up finish.
