César Pesciotto: We need to make adjustments and improve ourselves as soon as possible; the current schedule is very tight.

Cesar Peschoto will be looking to lead Wolves out of their slump this weekend. After a defeat to West Ham United in the last round, the team suffered their first loss of the season. Now they have a chance to bounce back, and thanks to the Championship's tight schedule, Wolves won't have to wait long before they're back in action. This round, they travel to St Andrews to face Birmingham City in a West Midlands derby, aiming for all three points.  

Despite Wolves' disappointing result in the last round, Cesar Pescotto stated that the team's overall form and confidence have not been significantly affected. He believes that timely review is crucial given the short intervals between matches. He said, "We first need to conduct a comprehensive review of the last game, and go through the match footage with the players, carefully analyzing both individual performances and the team's overall play. We must quickly identify areas for adjustment and improvement, because the current schedule is very tight, leaving us limited time for targeted on-field training."  

"We still have room for improvement in defense, but at the same time, we must make sure the players understand what they need to do on offense in the next game. After all, every opponent has its own characteristics, and we can't deal with them in exactly the same way. Therefore, the information we give to the players must be clear and concise enough, and we can't let them take in too much information. We need to focus on three or four key points on defense and three or four key requirements on offense. The rest will be executed based on our overall game philosophy."  

"After losing the game, I actually hope the next match will come soon, because we need an opportunity to win again and get the team back on track as soon as possible. Next, we will continue to train well and arrange the players' recovery work properly to ensure that everyone can be in the best physical condition for the next game. We know that our opponents will make it very difficult for us, but the team is ready and hopes to respond with a stronger performance after the defeat to West Ham United."  

"If time allows, we certainly hope to address the issues through more training and further refine each aspect. But for now, the team has a clear understanding of its playing style. There are still some details in defense that need further improvement, while I think we have demonstrated a good level in terms of ball control and playmaking."  

"This result is normal at this stage, and the team knows very well what to do next. The loss in the last game did not shake our confidence. In fact, I think our overall performance in that game was not bad, it's just that West Ham United were better at seizing opportunities. They just happened to score in some periods when we were actually playing better, which is part of the game. However, this defeat has not changed the team's belief."  

Speaking about the team's current squad composition, César Pescotto stated that with the transfer window officially closed, Wolves' personnel framework is largely finalized, but the club is still monitoring other possibilities in the market. Pescotto said, "The transfer window is closed, and I'm happy with that. However, there are still some free agents on the market, and we'll see if there are any opportunities to further strengthen the squad. As I mentioned before, we still want to add a winger, so if the conditions are right, we will consider making that signing."  

"In fact, we have made quite a few changes to the team, including replacing two goalkeepers and welcoming Konan to the left-back position. In addition, the signings of Jordan James, Shane, and Rafiki Saeed have further changed the team's personnel composition. We have indeed made adjustments in many aspects, but it is impossible to completely replace the entire squad. Many players still have contractual relationships with the club, and we must respect existing contracts and the rights of the players."
