Robert Sanchez has joined Como on loan and will play for the club until the end of the season.

Como has officially confirmed the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Roberto Sanchez on loan, with the partnership lasting until the end of the 2026/27 season. The goalkeeper joined Como from Chelsea and will be in goal for the team in the new season.  

Robert Sanchez was born in 1997. Early in his career, he received systematic training at Levante before joining Brighton at the age of 15. Seeking more first-team opportunities, he played for Forster Green Rangers and Rochdale. After two loan spells, Sanchez returned to Brighton, making his Premier League debut in November 2020, and has since developed into a key goalkeeper for the team.  

In August 2023, Robert Sanchez completed his transfer and officially joined Chelsea. During his time at the club, he represented the team in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, making 6 appearances and ultimately winning the "Golden Glove" award for his outstanding performance. In addition, Robert Sanchez also played for Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League.  

To date, Roberto Sanchez has accumulated over 170 Premier League appearances and has made two appearances for the Spanish national team. The goalkeeper was also included in Spain's final squads for the 2020 European Championship and the 2022 World Cup.

He has excellent physical attributes, strong control in front of goal, and reliable footwork, enabling him to participate in the team's forward play and progression. Speaking about his move to Como, Roberto Sanchez said, "I'm very excited to be here, and I was very impressed with the welcome the team prepared for me. I'm happy to be a part of Como, and I will give my all to contribute to the team's development. I'm really looking forward to starting this new experience."
